最近読んだ本「９月が永遠に続けば」

 

Reviewing my blog, I found some libraries I had totally forgotten.

The library "BOOKS" is one of them.  So I'm writing in now.

 

Please note some spoilers will be included below.

 

「９月が永遠に続けば」  沼田まほかる

 

This work won "Horror Suspense Award", so I wanted to read it and bought a copy.

 

In one word, this is the most dreadful horror for mothers.

In the reviews on Amazon website, the rating is not good and I guess most of the reviewers are not mothers. 

 

If my own son ends up loving a woman in this story, in a sense, it's much much worse than a bitch.

 

I praise the author for her outstanding writing skills, but this book did not leave me very good feelings.

 

I was more frightened when I read ”黒い家".

I couldn't put it down and when I finished reading, my extremities were all ice-cold!

この作品は"ホラーサスペンス大賞"受賞作なので、読んでみたいな〜と思い、買いました。

 

ひとことで言うと、これは母親にとって、何よりも恐ろしいホラーです。

アマゾンのレヴューでは、評価があまり良くないけど、レヴュアーのほとんどが母親の立場ではないからでは・・・と思います。

 

こんな女に息子が引っ掛かったら・・・・・ある意味、悪女に引っ掛かるより、ずーーーーとタチが悪い…。　

 

すごい筆力だと思うけど、読後の印象はあんまり良くないです。

 

恐ろしさといえば、｢黒い家｣の方かな。

読み始めたら止まらず、読み終わった時には手足が氷のように冷たくなってました！

ひ〜〜。

This is a non-fiction.

I warn you.  I can never recommend this book to anyone.

I may start crying when I talk about this book and this case.

 

It may contradict myself, though, I respect and want to say thank you to the auther for writing this book.

No other press was able to fully report this never-forgivable crime.

No wonder the details is beyond descpriton.

 

I just want to hope the souls of the victims rest in peace now.

 

 

P.S.

Probably, people against capital punishment should read this.

Who, if not the perpetrator of this case, should be sentenced to death?

 

 

 

図書館でこの本借りました。

 

ノンフィクションです。

警告します。絶対にお勧めできません。

この本や事件について話そうとするだけで、涙がこぼれそうです。

 

でも、矛盾するかもしれませんが、この本を書いた著者の方は尊敬し、お礼を申し上げたいです。

他のメディアはこの絶対に許せない犯罪を伝えきることができませんでした。

詳細があまりにひどいので当然のことだったと思います。

 

ただただ、被害者の方たちのご冥福をお祈りします。

もしかしたら、死刑廃止論者には読んで貰った方がいいかもしれません。

この犯人を死刑にしないで、だれをしますか？

 

英語ができないわたしをせめないで！ Part 1

Hi, guys. Have you read this book?
The author is a Japanese cartoonist married to a non-Japanese. I got a kick out of reading this．　This one, “Please do not blame me for not being able to speak English", tells us how she tried to study English introducing various options to study English in Japan. Her writing style and cartoon are very cute and easy to read, and at the same time, very interesting.

Especially, I laughed out loud reading her experience when she used“Magic Listening”.
Have you heard of this listening training device? The sales pitch tells that only listening to a tape for 2 weeks gives you “Eigo-mimi”, which means the ability to listen to English and understand it. And, have you ever thought of getting one? Well, I have to admit,,,, I have! The set is about \50,000.- . I thought it was like an extortion, so I didn’t get one.
The trick is that this kind of products makes us think that it is not your fault that you can’t understand English but it is your ears that don’t work well. But…is there anyone here who has got this and thinks it is worth spending the money?
( This product still lingers somewhere in my mind.)

著者は外国人と結婚している日本人の漫画家です。とってもおもしろかった。この｢英語ができない私をせめないで！｣は日本で英語を勉強する方法を紹介しながら、著者がどうやって勉強しようか試したお話です。文体も絵もとっても可愛くて読みやすく、同時にすごく興味深いです。

特に“マ○ックリスニング”を使った経験談は爆笑した。
この“マ○ックリスニング”のこと、耳にしたことありますか？宣伝文句によるとあるテープを2週間聴くだけであなたの耳は｢英語耳｣-英語を聞いて理解できる耳-になるというものです。そして。。。買おうと思ったことある？？ えーと、告白しちゃうと、私はあります！
でも、1セット5万円もするし、それはぼったくりだと思ったので買いませんでした。
この製品のうまいところは、“英語を理解できないのはあなたのせいじゃないんですよ〜、耳がうまく機能していないだけなんです！”と私たちに思わせてしまうところだ。
でも。。。。これを読んでくれている人で、“マ○ックリスニング”買って払った料金分の価値があると思ってる人いる？（まだちょっと未練あり。）

今日の表現　　　(日本人以外の)外国人　　non-Japanese

日本人は外国人のことを英語で　Foreigner と呼ぶことが多い。でも、外国人の方は　“よそもの”といわれているみたいでいい気分がしないようです。　だから、外国人のことは　"non-Japanese" と私は言ってます。VOIS（NOVAのVoiceではありまセン）の先生、Suzy のアドバイスデス。

I've borrowed the first three books of "Battery" by Atsuko Asano. It's in Japanese.
It seems that the story is sorted out to literature for children, but many people say grown-ups can enjoy it. But!!　 I think it is sci-fi! Because the main characters are 11 - 12 years old, but they are so mentally mature. They are far cry from my son, who is 14 years old!

あさのあつこの「バッテリー」１，２，３を借りた。日本語の本。
児童文学に分類されるらしいけど、大人も楽しめるという人が多い。がっっ、私にとってはSF小説のようだ。だって、主人公たちは１１-１２歳だけど、精神的に大人すぎて、うちの１４歳の息子とは大違い過ぎる。。

I have just finished reading the book "Light on Snow".　My hostmother gave it to me when I visited her last October. The book gives us a quiet impression.
The story is about a father and a 12-year-old girl who have lost the mother and a younger sister in an accident and every since lived in a remote area. One day they find an abandoned baby in snow during a walk. A several days later, they have an unexpected guest who turns out to be the mother of the baby. And then, well, find what will happen yourself. Looks like there is no Japanese translation available, but English in the book is fairly easy to understand.

"Light on Snow" 読了。１０月にオハイオを訪れたときホストマザーがくれた本。静かな感動を与えてくれる本です。
母親と妹を事故で失くした１２歳の少女が、それ以来父親と人里はなれたところに住んでいて、ある日散歩の途中で雪の中に捨てられた赤ちゃんをみつける。数日後、彼女たちを訪れる客があり、赤ちゃんの母親だと判明。それから、、、えーと、それは自分で読んでみてね〜。日本語の訳書はないようですが、この本の英語はかなりわかりやすいです。
