elderlyに最近入荷したバンジョーが面白そう。
欲しい？って言われると迷うけど、音が良さそうというのでそそられる。

EC, 10-7/8" skin head, double metal clad rim, no dowel stick or co-ordinator rods, neck is attached with heavy brass plate and lag bolt (original), 24 brackets, notched tension hoop, mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard with pearl inlays at frets 1, 5, 7, 10 and 12, 2 stars and a stylized 5 pointed asterisk (large) in ebony peghead overlay, 19 frets, strung with nylon strings, 5 ivoroid plastic friction tuners, screwed-on pearl heel-cap is engraved "THE - L & H - *STAR* - BANJO - CHICAGO - U.S.A." (one corner is chipped), ebony and maple(?) underlays beneath headstock and fingerboard, excellent sound

なにしろ、ノー・ドウェル・スティック、ノー・コーディネイター・ロッドだ。
ポッド（胴）の中心のロッドやスティックがない。

こんなので excellent sound なのだから、バンジョーは分からない。
ともかく、バンジョーって面白いもんですなあ。

2010年、あけまして。おめでとうございます。
皆さん、今年もどうぞよろしく！

さて、バンジョー作成熱が冷めているわけではないのですが、
材を切ってもらう前に寒くなったのでなかなか作業に取り掛かることが出来ないでいます。
で、ひょうたんバンジョー作成はもーちょっと暖かくなってからということで。。。。

場つなぎになんかおもろいものは。。。。

こういう方すごーく好きです。フレンド・リクエストするかな。
で、この曲も２回目のアップのようです。
音は２回目のほうが良いですが、１回目の方もぜひご覧ください。
なんたって弾いている時の表情が素敵です。

この方、他にもシガーボックスバンジョーに魂柱立ててみたりすごいうれしいです。
ホンマいい人。

音のでかすぎるバンジョー11" Lee Chautauquaベンベン

バンジョーは音がうるさすぎて家族争議になってしまうようなことがあるが、
プロのバンジョー弾きが音がうるさすぎると売りに出してしまったのがこのバンジョー。

BanjoHangoutのClassifiedsでFrailing氏が売りに出しております。

フレイリング氏いわく、自分はハードなフレイリングでうるさすぎるが、比較的弱い弾きかただけどバンドでフィドルと一緒に弾くにはこいつが最高とのことです。

日本人は指が細くって爪が薄いので大きな音の出るバンジョーを探している人が多いので、
こいつは日本人のためのバンジョーとしてうってつけでしょう。

ということで、どなたか買いません？こいつ。

ようやく自作バンジョー１号機完成だベンベン

１年がかりでようやく自作バンジョー１号機が完成した。
人生の終わりにバンジョー作家になってやろうとはじめた一大（一台？一代？）プロジェクトでＲ．
まずはめでたしめでたし。

さて、仕様であるが、

インレイのモチーフは桜の花びら、ネックの後ろのヴォルートあり

シリアルは入れてないが、
第１号であり２００９年９月４日完成ということで、
１２００９０９０４としとこうかね。
ギブソンみたいなシール、作って張ることにしましょう。（~~)

WENDELL HALL PROFESSIONAL BANJO (1920's) だベンベン

オープンバック専門ブログとはいえ、こいつはなかなかおもしろそうなのでアーカイブしてしまおう。
ELDERLYで今、売っているピッコロバンジョーでR。（残念、ホールドされてしまっている。）
１１５０ドル。

当初はウクレレとしてas played by famous ukologian George Formbyの記述があったが、
あの有名なジョージ・フォームビーは５弦ウクレレだったのか？
数日後、違っていたらしくってその記述は消えた。

最初の記述
VGC+, with a number of dings, scratches, wear to fingerboard and back of neck, plating worn off most of arm rest, 7-1/2" skin head, 16 frets, 14" scale length, 1-1/4" nut width, walnut resonator and neck, top tension adjustment, pearl dot inlays, 4 Page geared pegs with cream-colored buttons, mechanical friction 5th string tuner with ivoroid button, strung with nylon strings, nickel plated parts, all original and a very desirable model (as played by famous ukologian George Formby), with OHSC (purple lining, replacement handle)
