実際の展示場では、どうなっているのでしょうか？
韓国の報道と教育のやり方にも問題があると私は思います。
日韓が真の友好を構築できないのは日本だけでなく韓国にも原因があると私は思います。
実際に苦難を体験した朝鮮人には同情しますが、現在の韓国人のアツサは、私にとってそれを打ち消すほど残念な気持ちにさせられます。

現在私は韓国人の中でも頭が固くてすごく反日な人と議論中ですが、間もなくこちらに戻って来て、翻訳するつもりです。待っていて下さい。

韓国人が考える「日本と韓国の差」

前回の記事で面白いと思ったある韓国人の考えをもう一度見てみたいと思います。

まずはmiddlemanさんの文章を訳してみます。

本当にそうでしょうか？

もし日本人の多くが優しくて平和を愛しているならば、どのようにして好戦的な政治家（タカ派な政治家）によって日本全体が引っ張られているのでしょうか？

大部分の日本人は彼らの歴史を気にしていないからでしょうか？
そしてそのことが政治（に無関心）と関係しているのでしょうか？

この問題は大多数の平和を愛する日本人が強力かつタカ派な右翼のトップの人たちを支持した結果なのでしょうか？
まるで第２次世界大戦が引き起こされた時に理由のように、ということですか？

私はこの問題を次のように考えます。

日本国民はどんなことをするとしても、それが良いことか悪いことかは関係なく、日本人として共に行動することを重んじる。
日本人は、日本という国の最後まで一緒にずっとまとまり、より強力になろうと努力するだろう。

middlemanさんの意見は、韓国人ならでは、の意見だと思います。
私も日本の政治やマスコミの報道が右傾化してきているのが気がかりに思っています。
しかし、それでもなぜか、彼らの勢いはどんどん台頭してきているように見えます。
こんなことを書くと私は左派かと思う人もいるかもしれませんが、私は自由競争や実力主義には賛成です。
でも平和こそ、もっとも大切な価値があると思います。

ところで今、見てみたら私の書いたコメントに韓国人から反論がありました。
私の主張は国際法廷で決着を両国政府がはかるのが良いというものでした。

means basically 'I don't know and I don't care'.
What can I say about Dok do...here we go again.
Japan insist that both government should bring this issue to International Court of Justice in Holland. Let me ask you, japanese friend. Did you know that there is a japanese jury there? Have you had a single opportunity to learn this fact in japan? I don't think so.

And one more thing. Do you know what the japanese jury said about Dok do? He said he really want this issue to be dealt in the ICJ court. He also said that unfortunately, Koreans are disagreeing with that idea. At the same time, when he was asked to speak about the conflict of some other island between China, he said that issue should not be dealt in the court becaue that specific island is japanese.

I hope this tells you something. ok?

Don't say Koreans are emotional. It is nearly miracle that we still have emotions after all those cruel harrasment from japan. On the other hand, don't say japan is calm and rational about this issue, but just admit that you are ignorant and indifferent.

Japan clearly knows how important it is to exert its newfound power alliance on the world. Their first test is Dodko. Next is more if they succeed.

Korea will not let the same mistakes of the past resurface...especially just to satisfy some little grunt of people founded by the upper class of Paekchae long ago.

Japan's future is only that of an expensive hooker of the Pax Americana - nothing more, nothing less.

A new world order is on order and Japan is not the leader.

なんかヒドイ誤解をしているな、と思いました。

Reasoning based on Japan history

Around the 10th century, big powers were already there with their swords - Samurai, which made rich power people through sorta "hostile M&A".

Toyotomi in 15th century, got more capital centralized in Tokyo by capturing the family of provincial leaders as hostage.

In the 19th century, Japan opened doors to the West and the capital started to trade successfully with their well-established distribution networks developed formerly.
Then Japan learned the developed West very fast by translating all the classics.

Then they started imperialism, acquiring Korea, had wars with China and Russia. Dokdo-Takeshima was a starting point to these serial things. They got to know sorta "increasing capital mechanism."

Even they tried to get into Pearl harbor, fighted util they got bombed in 1945.

Through this history, did they get any opinions from normal people? They are so closed at politics.... leaded by a few elites.. very far from democracy.

So I, one of many concerned Koreans, am also worrying about serial activities by Japanese officals, even though I have very nice Japanese friends.
My concern is that Japanese may be more obsessed over 1000 year practice than their 50 year democracy.

豊臣ではなくて徳川ですよね。
それにしてもかなり誤解がありますよね。

These comments are very interesting to me. 
I am a Japanese!
It doesn't matter to me whether the disputed islands belongs to Japan or not, because I am not nationalist. 
(I believe, most Japanese are not nationalist.) 

I recommend that Japanese and Korean governments use the International Court of Justice to settle about this problem. 

I hope that we live together in friendship.

日本のマスコミは「韓国人また興奮」　一般人は？

韓国と日本は各々“独島”と“竹島”という島をめぐって対立している。

　日本のテレビ放送では、怒った韓国人が指を切ってデモをしている画面を背景に番組の司会者が今回の紛争が“感情的”に流れていることを嘆く。

　日本の放送のこのような報道には「歴史強迫症にかかった韓国人たちがまた興奮している」というメッセージが含まれている。これに反して韓国人は、日本人が歴史を十分に知らない、または知っていながらも知らない振りをしていると思っているようだ。

　日本に住む私のような外国人の立場で、韓国や中国が大洋の真中にある岩の島をめぐり、日本と対立している怒りの深さを計ることは容易ではない。そのため、このような対立がある時は隣に住んでいる日本人に会って世論を聞こうとする。

　「竹…何ですって？」と言ったのは、私の質問に対する隣家の下田婦人の反応である。また「あ、竹島ですよね、どこかにある、とても離れている島のことですよね。よく知らないけど、それほど重要とは思えないけれど……」と加えた。

　左側の隣人である久野夫人はどうだろうか。テレビの前で興奮して日の丸でも振りながら韓国人の悪口を言っているのか。しかし、彼女は私の質問に対して「何のことかさっぱり分かりません。でも、今回のことで韓国がドラマの輸出を中断することなどはないように祈っています。私はヨン様のファンだから……」と話した。

　ジャーナリストとして日本で５年間生活しながらこのような取材はたくさんしてきたが、そのたびにテレビで見せている画面と、平凡な日本人の世論がいかに離れているものかを実感する。実際、大多数の日本人は今回の紛争にまったく関心がなく、意見があるとしてもいわゆる彼らの政治的代表者との考えとは大きな差異がある。

　いくつかの例をあげてみよう。世論調査をしてみると、約７０％に達する日本人は自衛隊のイラク派兵に反対した。多くの日本人は、所謂“人道的”活動で包まれた派兵は、実は日本の軍事力の国際的役割を拡大しようとする試みにすぎないと見ているのである。

　また、大多数の日本人は歴史教科書改正にも反対している。２００１年数千名の教師と労働組合指導者、そして市民運動家たちが改正歴史教科書の採択に反対する大規模の抗議運動を行い、結局日本の中・高等学校の採択率が０．０１％にも満たない成果を得たこともある。

　自民党内の右翼たちは“平和憲法”を改正するため努力したが、憲法制定後６０年が経った今も元来の形態をそのまま維持している。

　中国で生活したこともある私は、多数のアジア人がこのような現実を受け入れないことを知っている。しかし、大多数の日本人は穏やかで平和好きな人々であり、論争することをあまり好まない。では、なぜ日本は本当の姿とは異なって、このように戦闘的に見えるのだろうか。その答えは政治指導者にある。

　私は歴史教科書の改正を背後で操っている組織を４ヶ月間取材したことがある。彼らは歪曲した教科書を通じてアジア人を怒らせている。私が知っている限り、日本人のうち誰１人として「韓国は日本の植民地支配を歓迎した」と習った人はいないが、この教科書が伝えようとするメッセージはこれである。

　歴史教科書改正の集まりは、自民党内の１００名を超える議員と東京都の石原都知事などの支持を得ている。彼らは東京教育委員会を自分たちの支持者にすることに成功したが、これは日本最大の教育委員会が来月、歪曲された教科書を承認することを意味する。

　この過程に民主的要素というものは少しも見当たらない。政界の高位グループが平凡な日本人の意思に逆らっているのだ。彼らこそ日本に災いを招いている張本人である。

Good article

I spoke to an old friend in Tokyo last week. She basically told me the same thing this story did. Koreans need to understand there is a majority in Japan who will keep the right wing in check. Finger cutting at the embassy just gives fuel to the Japanese right wingers who wish to label the Koreans as an irrational group of people.

Could that be true?

If Majority of Japanese people are gentle and peace-loving,
how the whole Japan be led by belligerent politicians?

Is it because most japanese don't care much about their history?
And the politics related to it?

Can the problem be the fact that "the majority Peaceful
Japanese also go for the powerful & belligerent rightwing top men?
Just like the causes and reasons of World War TWO?

This, I think, would be the problem with Japan that they
get together for their own country in the end in doing
whatever they do and they will do it together whether it
is good or bad. They would act for the powerful.

The difference between Japanese and Korean

Koreans are more flexible in criticizing the wrong doings:

Koreans can criticize the Top power and can change it if
it is doing wrong, while Japanese still honor the King of
Japan regardless of the fact that he made millions of
their people die during the World war II.

The reason is that Koreans are "Resistance Oriented", While
Japanese are "Power Oriented" based on Samurai Culture.

From Japanese ways of thinking, you can change the TOP
only when the Top loses its power. Otherwise, you will
have to follow it whether it is a wrong power or not.

So, Japan is more difficult to solve the problem than
Korea is when the power holds the problem.

この意見は面白いと思います。韓国から見ると日本は国家への忠誠心が高いようです。ネットでも卒業式の国歌斉唱問題など、確かに一部の方たちでそういう発言はありますので完全否定はできないと思います。
