Happy New Year!
I have a couple of topics today at the beginning of new year.
1. The first one is that I have opened new blog's on different sites where I intend to explain the brain mechanisms using those plain expressions that may be helpful to those who have little background of physics, mathematics, biology, and semantics. However, I've found some difficulty to bring the readers round to my point of view, though I try to make the sentences comprehensive. My solution to explain the existence of consciousness and subconsciousness has led me to another conclusion that any living is two-faced! Human livings are never exceptional, never! A couple of weeks ago, Marvin Minsky made it to Nagoya, Japan, and I talked to him and was convinced that it would not be good idea to submit the paper to any journal nor any conference. Alternative may be to publish either in writing books or these blogs, or my own Homepage, where I'm planning to mention the reasons.
Does anyone have any better idea? This is the first issue.
2. The second one is much more serious. In the modern business society, it's very risky to say like, "I discovered how to become wiser!", because everybody wants to know only from the egoistic desire. I can foresee some new idea can be misused for the evil purposes. That's my most serious concern. I believe all of you on this list have ever considered this issue and have some ideas based on humanity and benevolence. I know some lists like PER discussing about the ethical problems, but I think the members have no political power yet.
Does anyone have any good idea? This is the second issue.
Thanks for paying attention and in advance, too.
Sincerely yours,
Katsuo Hasegawa
