3nightsのツアーは朝１０：４５にマリーナホテルに迎えが来ます。念のためマリーナホテルに泊まっている旨を事前に伝えておくと間違いがすくない。
MV PrincessⅡ号はホテルからも歩いて数分の所に停泊しています。ポートリンカーン中心地に泊って朝港までとか、中心地のホテルまで迎えに来てもらうとかは。電話で直接交渉するくらいの語学力が必要だと思います。
ポイントであるネプチューン島までおよそ5時間…アシカの島に寄って夜着くと書いてありますが時期の問題か今回はアシカ帰りの予定と。島周囲に着いてからスクーバの人の人数を確認し、ウェットスーツのサイズ合わせをして
（なんかすごく時間の無駄に感じました。5時間も船に乗っている間は何もなし、みな各自部屋で寝るなり。。）
「いきなりケージとスクーバを準備（自分は第二グループに）、ガイド1名とゲスト3名でケージをクレーンで推定に落としていきます。
「何の撒き餌もしないでサメが来るのか？」
と思っていたら、案の定第一グループはサメなし。もちろん自分たち第2グループもサメなし。ボトムはおよそ約20ｍで20分、10ｍ、５ｍで約5分安全停止。水温14〜15℃で5/7mmウェットではそれが限界でしょう。
初日はこれで終了… 消化不良である。

まず旅行のインフォメーション。
アデレードまで行ってそこから飛行機でポートリンカーンまで行きます。そこからはタクシーしか現実的な交通手段はないのでタクシーに乗ります。
集合場所のひとつである。マリーナホテルまではタクシーです。空港に待機するタクシーは少ないので頑張って乗りましょう。いなくなってしまったら、チャックインターカウンターで泣きつきましょうw
マリーナホテルは街中から外れた港の近くのホテルです。ホテルから街までは行くのはかなり困難な距離です。
市街地に泊まるてもありますが、日本から行くのならマリーナfホテルに泊まるのが間違いがないでしょう。
食事も普通に美味しかったです。

仕事の研修でアデレードに行くことにしました。数日早く出国してポートリンカーンへ。

参加者募集、現地＄２４９０なら現実的な値段では？ この時期フライトが高いのが難。
“This is a land based adventure, and will include different styles of diving combining; shore diving, kelp forest diving and open ocean swimming. This will be both a scuba, and snorkeling trip, and will be both natural and chummed shark diving encounters. Basically - we will be doing everything we can to find the sharks for you all to film and photograph.”
The cost per person is $2,490 per person, with a $300 deposit required to reserve your spot. (Maximum 4 divers are invited)
Trip date; August 11 -18, 2012
Price includes;
- 3 days of boat diving seeking out threshers and pelagic sharks.
- 3 days - one tank dive each morning seeking out threshers - 7 nights hotel stay (dbl occ) - 3 tank dives per day (3 days seeking out sevengills and soupfins) - Weights, belts - Transportation - Complimentary video of our adventure. *Please note that for the mako and blue shark portion of the trip it is strictly a snorkel encounter - NOT a scuba diving encounter, (it will not be allowed, as it scares the sharks) so we will be snorkeling with the pelagic species only.
*There are also NO CAGES or chainmail suits offered for the mako shark snorkel, so it is important that you are comfortable with up close encounters with pelagic sharks, as well as swimming in the open ocean. Drift lines will be put out in case of surface currents, but swimming and snorkeling skills are important.
THE PLAN;
Day one (Aug. 11): we will meet and check in at our hotel, (The Dana) the evening is yours to relax from your travels and to prep camera gear.
Day 2-4; We will head out to the Dana Landing Boat Ramp, which is where we will meet our boat for the day. The plan is to motor out around 5:30 AM and spend the early morning chumming for thresher sharks. We will then drop down for a one tank dive to see if any of them are lurking around our baitbox. Due to the elusive nature of these sharks, we have a very limited window of opportunity to find these sharks. The rest of the day will be spent on the open ocean seeking out mako and blue sharks. There is also a strong possibility that we get a shot at seeing mola molas, and risso dolphins. Please note; these are full days on the water, and there are possibilities that we may not find any pelagics, but we have chosen the right time of year for this as well as a good operator who has helped us find sharks in the past, and again we are very good at finding sharks.
Day 5-7; We will be shore diving La Jolla Cove each day to seek out sevengill, and soupfin sharks. Both are very hard to find sharks, but we have found great spots for them and are confident that if the sharks are there we will find them.
*For the mako and blue shark portion of the trip, we will make our plans according to what the weather is doing, based on weather forecasts. For example; if the weather looks better early in the week, then we will go earlier, vs. later in the week. So we will remain flexible for the open ocean part of the trip.
