「私、妊娠したわ！」　I'm pregnant!

「つわりがひどくてつらいのよね・・・」　My morning sickness has been terrible.

「もう臨月になったわ」　I'm due this month. I've reached full term.

「予定日はいつ？」　When are you due?

「初産だから心配だわ」　I'm worried about giving birth because this is my first child.

「アメリカでは無痛分娩が一般的です」　Painless deliveries are common in the United States.

「子どもは4000gを超えていたけど自然分娩だったんだ」　I gave birth naturally even though the baby was over 4000 grams.

「逆子だったので帝王切開でした」　I had a caesarean because the baby was breech.

「妻は水中出産を希望している」　My wife wants a water birth.

「今朝、妻の陣痛が始まったんだ！」　She went into labor this morning！

「うちの両親、僕のへその緒をとっておいてるんだ」　My parents kept my umbilical cord stump.
（アメリカでは、へその緒をとっておくという風習はあまりありません）

「双子なんだ！」　I'm having twins！

「明日、ラマーズ法のクラスがあるんだ」　We have Lamaze class tomorrow.
