　久々です(笑)。
　第３０回目はお得意のポリスです(笑)。

　この曲は代表曲『見つめていたい』の姉妹曲的な位置づけで、
　シングルカットされ、スマッシュヒット(英７位・米翌８位)もしました。

　『見つめていたい』みたいに王道的なコード進行。
　という訳ではありません〜しかもキーはマイナーです〜が、
　この頃独特の(所謂インテリチックな)スティング節が効いてる佳曲です。
　
　火を燈した蝋燭を無数に並べた所(スタジオ)で歌うビデオクリップも中々印象的でした。

　第２８回は再びポリス。
　アンディー・サマーズのギターをフューチャーしたロックナンバー。
　スマッシュヒットもしたこの曲は二部構成の楽曲の２作目。

　廃墟を舞台としたビデオクリップは珍しくワイルドな仕上がりでした。
　ここでスティングが着ていた衣装はシンクロニシティコンサートでのショウの衣装でもあります。

　話は逸れますが、
　ロックの殿堂での映像を久々に観ましたがアンディ肥ってました(笑)。

　下の写真はサンダンス映画祭で久々に再会した三人の写真です。
　スチュがしたためていたというポリス時のドキュメンタリーがあるらしいです。
　公開するのなら早く観てみたいです。

　個人的に大好きな曲です(･ｗ･)。

　因みにビルボードチャートでは３位まで上がりました。

　何が好きかって言うと、
　歌詞の言葉遊び。
　韻を踏んでるところ。
　内容。
　などです(↑ご覧下さい)。

　孤独癖が抜けない時代にはリピートしまくって聴いていました(笑)。

　この曲が入ったアルバムがポリス、ラストのオリジナルアルバムです。

　ライヴでは『ナッシング･ライク･ザ･サン・ツアー』と『ソウル･ケージ・ツアー』でやりましたが、
　それ以来(日本では)やってません。
　何気にカヴァーもされる(アラニス･モリセットとか)隠れた名曲です。

　第２６回はピーター･ガブリエルの『ＵＰ』から。
　この曲はアルバムからの第一弾シングル曲です。

　これは架空のテレビショウをモチーフにしています。
　テレビでよく見られる“人生相談”など、
　プライバシーを視聴率アップに使った番組が持て囃されていますが
　そういった番組に対して皮肉ったものです。

　人権問題などにも熱心なピーガブらしいです。
　決してキャッチーではないですが、
　ある程度聴きやすく作られている楽曲です。
