                  創造の館　英国パビリオン

   

   英国パビリオンは「伝統を継承、未来を創造」をメインテーマに

   パビリオン全体の設計は屋根のない開放式都市公園となっています。

  In September 2007, Heatherwick Studio leading a team that includes

  Adams Kara Taylor and Atelier Ten won the competition to design

  the UK Pavilion for the Shanghai 2010 Expo.　　

 

  The event, which will run from May to October 2010,

  is set to be the largest ever.　Two hundred countries will be taking part

  and with over 70 million visitors expected, Shanghai Expo will provide

  a unique opportunity to showcase the breadth of the UK's creative talent

  and business expertise to a global audience.

 

   The studio's concept is an enclosure that throws out

  from all faces a mass of long, radiating cilia.　

  Their length means they gently sway in response to any wind movement.

  It rests on its soft forest in an urban field,

  surrounded by a concrete canopy that resembles unfolded wrapping paper.

　英国は、上海万博に向けて国家パビリオンのイメージを、

  点火された立方体空間を創造。　

  ’たねの聖域’と呼ぶ外部の芯は、

  六万本に及ぶ光ファイバーが四方八方に伸びている。

  この光ファイバーは、

  日中、内部への補助光として外と同様の明るさを内部へ支援する。

  近代的で衝撃的な空間。　

  夜には、このファイバーのビルトイン光源が放つ幻想的な照明に

  目を奪われる。

      　Harvey Nichols  同スタジオ設計のロンドン市内の有名な高級デパート　

 

 

 

Harvey Nichols, the famous Knightsbridge department store,

commissioned the studio to design an installation for its windows to celebrate London Fashion Week 1997.

Rather than see the project as twelve individual windows, the studio chose to look at the building as a whole,

producing a single idea that interacted with the architecture of the entire facade:a single 200 metre-long element, twisting across the shop-front, weaving in and out of the windows and climbing up the fa?ade by up to ten metres.

  英国パビリオンのコンセプトは自然と都市空間の調和、

  創造的な未来空間を楽しむ事は、私たちの夢かと思います。

 

 

  でも、世界の多くの公害は、

 人間が及ぼした環境破壊によって生じたのです。
 

  例えば、中国雲南省の干ばつは、

  人々が営利の為に沢山の木を伐採して起きた事実。
 

  そして、中国北部の砂あらし（黄砂）も、環境破壊が原因でした。
 

  大自然は、生きるために様々な有機物質を与えてくれ、

  私達は、その大自然の恵みを味わえるのです。
 

  何故、私たちは、その自然を愛して、守ってあげられないのでしょうか？

   界上很多灾难的发生与人为造成环境的破坏是密切相关的。

  

   比如说云南的干旱，就与人们大量砍伐树木有关。

  

    还有中国北方的沙尘暴也与环境破坏有关。

　 大自然赋予各种生物生存和享受地球资源的权利，

 

　   我们有什么理由不去爱护和保护她。
