(5) Egypt - Pyramids (エジプトのピラミッド)

Wow! Finally, I stood before the pyramids!

There were 101 existing pyramids in Egypt.
Where we visited was the three most famous pyramids and the famous Sphinx stood here too.

Giza Pyramids was the general term for a group, rather than a separate pyramid.

In the Giza Pyramids, three largest and best-preserved pyramids were Khufu, Khafre and Menkaura. They were built between 2600 BC to 2500 BC.

The largest was the Pyramid of Khufu, 146-meter-high (almost a skyscraper now!).

Khafre Pyramid, 144 meters high.

Menkaura pyramid, 67 meters high.

In our sight, the three pyramids were placed at random, but in fact they were arranged in accordance with the waist of the galaxy Orion.

The bottom side of the Pyramid of Khufu almost faced to north, south, East, West and the error was less than 1 degree. The ancient Egyptians were really smart!

In a close look, every stone of the Pyramid was as big as cars! The height was up to my neck! For example, the Pyramid of Khufu was built by 2,300,000 stones. Weighs 2.5 tons - 15 tons. It was really hard to imagine how the ancient Egyptians built it.

I was so excited before the Pyramid and my friends said I performed like a fool...fool...fool...

When I saw the Sphinx myself, I found it was not quite the same as I saw it on the books or TV before.

In fact, Sphinx was very big and the body was so long!

Finally, we went to the fragrance shop.

Egypt was very famous of the flavor.
The flavor bottles were cute.

Uhh...... a little tired......
Just pause here, I will share more experience of my trip in Egypt the next time.

(4) Egypt - Alexander City (エジプト - アレクサンドリア)

Alexander is a city in northern Egypt, next to the Mediterranean sea. It was called "Alexander" because it was built by the King - Alexander the Great.

"Pompey's Pillar", built in the 1st century BC.

Originally, here was a temple, including more than 400 columns.

Every Pillar was more than 20 meters high, 500 tons.
Can you image how magnificent here was thousands years ago.

However, due to earthquakes and other reasons, now only one left...... So Fitiful!

The Montazah Palace, beside the Mediterranean sea. It was built in 1892 , belonged to the Turkish King - Khedive Abbas II.

The trip in Alexander was end in the Castle beside Mediterranean sea.

We also see The only Modern building in this city - Alexander Library.

(3) Egypt - Old Town of Cairo (老城)

The Old Town of Cairo was much pretty than New Cairo, buildings there were full of Egyptian and Arabic culture.

In the Old town, however, there was a place called "dead city" which was a region illegal cemeteries.

Small houses, which were placed the relics of the dead or buried the remains of the dead, etc.
It was very scary in the night. ( 。>___<。)～

The Old Town was always very busy.

The Old Town was so beautiful and full of sentiment in the sunset.

The last photo was the papyrus painting bought in the market, beautiful.

(2) Egypt - Memphis (メンフィス)

Memphis was located in the northeastern part of the west bank of the Nile River.

It used to be the capital of ancient Egypt and it had a history for more than 5,000 years.

In 3100 BC, when the first dynasty of Egypt finished the reunification of the country，Memphis became the capital up to 800 years, and later it was replaced by "Thebes".

The earliest name of this city was"White City", then renamed as "Memphis".

Memphis was destroyed in the 7th century (AD).

Now you can only see a dead city covered by sand.

Memphis museum claimed to be the smallest one in the world, because there was only one lying Ramesses II （ラムセス2世）status and a few other small broken stone statues.

The Ramesses II statue was originally about 14 meters high, being carved from a single piece of limestone, very beautiful.
After 3200 years, the hieroglyphics on the statue were still clearly visible. In an earthquake, the legs and left hand of the statue were broken.

The name “Ramesses II” was carved in hieroglyphics onthe statue.

(1) Egypt - First Sight of Egypt (Cairo) - （埃及初印象）

Miaow......During this time, my heavy academic pressure made me too lazy to update myblog.

I just came back to the United Kingdom from Egypt.
This trip was a wonderful memory in my life and I really want to share withyou.

I had a 3-week holiday during the Easter and myfirends and I decided to go ahead our plan to the Egypt.
<(^^)

The flight took us about 7 hours to reach Cairo,the capital of Egypt.

When I saw the Giza Pyramids through the Cairo City, I felt soexcited that I was really in Egypt!

Although Cairo is the capital of Egypt, the structures there seems not so good.
Looking around us, there were a large amount of unfinished brick houses. Our guide Muhammad told us that unfinished buildings were for tax-avoidance.

The fields in Egypt was very exotic, as you could see many tall palm trees.

In Egypt, the Nile River was called "the Great Nile River". Yes.....In the Egyptian culture，we must call it with the word "Great".

The Red (or Pink?) house is Egyptian National Museum.

Unfortunately, photography was not allowed in it.

I saw a lot of valuable cultural relics, including the mummy of Ramses II, Thutmose IV, Hatshepsut and so on. Felt so magic, they were Pharaohs three or four thousands of years ago, but I could still saw their faces.

Finally, We lived in the “Oasis Hotel” in Cairo and the environment there was adorable.

Yesterday，I took part in amusic event “Liverpool Pride” beside theMersey Ferry.

Everybody is so crazy !
Even though the rain never stops , but the show burns every body's emotion up .
I never see so many people in Liverpool at the same time.

Wonderful show and wonderful band.

And stars there are so cute~~~~

Hi，my dear friends ，really long long longtime no see.

I miss all of you，do you still remember me？

Time can change so manythingsour body，our thought ，our life and also our plans.

Yep，I used to plan that come to France ，but finally，I come to another country.

I had graduated fromuniversity last year（2011） in July，and then went to an Assetcompany in Shanghai ，my job is “Asset Evaluation”（資産評価），it’s a wonderful experience during my work time ，I became more professional .

That would be a promisingoccupation, but my life is full of “Business Trips” , ”Market Reach” ,“Clients” , “Council” , “Report” , Blablabla……

I suddenly found that it isnot the life what I want.

I don’t need to have a greataccomplishment on my career ， I don’t need to be a“dragon lady” .

I Like travelling.
I like spending time chat with my friend.
I like to stay withmy family.

I like reading books alone.

But that job makes meconfused，I almost loose myself.
No，I cant！
I know I don't need a good job, I need myself to be ture, and to be free.

So I resigned from the company, and decidedto go on my postgraduate study in UK.

Now，I’m studying in University of Liverpool. （リヴァプール大学）

I just arrived in Liverpool,UK , last month.

It really needs time for meto adapt the life here.

I live in a garret now inthe university，it seems very small and actuallyit is very small ，but I could feel much sunshinein the morning in this room.

It is not a best place tolive，but it’s not easy for everyone who become a “new comer”in UK，this is just one thing that we have to tolerate.

I think there is no summerin Liverpool ，the temperature could be 15℃ in average these days，a little cold.

You can see very few peoplein the street except in city centre.（maybe it is becauseit’s summer holiday now）

And it always.... always.... rains，sometimes I will wake up because of the rain in the midnight，and I will be homesick at that time.

I really hate fast food!

Once….twice….it’s OK.

But so many times, I can’ttolerate the diet.

But everything will bebetter and better.

My midsemester is not finished yet.

Recently，it's time for midsemester.

And tomorrow！

I will have the first exam……

I spend all day to sit on the seat in the library.

It's dizziness ...

Anyway, the ground floor of the library is quiet.

So I can feel some silent emotion around me , that's nice!

Because from the beginning of this term , my life is too crazy and chaotic .

Stay for doing "one thing" is rare , so I will enjoy the time of reading books , and only think of one thing to do .

Ok, I still need to eat something ...
