まったく飛ばないドライバー、グローレリザーブ Gloire Reserve, a driver without distance

今まで、初代のグローレにTour ADのシャフトをつけて、使用しています。距離も出るし、方向もまっすぐ行きます。
グローレリザーブが生産中止になったらしく、定価１０万円が４万円以下で変えるようになった。
「高品質なマルチ・レイヤー・フレックス・ フェース（グラファイトコンポジット製）を搭載」という宣伝文句に乗せられて、ついふらふらとネット通販で買ってしまった。

試し打ちをして、びっくり、がっかり。「ボコッ」という鈍い音がして、まったく飛ばない。
現在の自分のドライバーが２３０ヤード飛ぶのに、このリザーブは２００ヤードがやっと。
すぐに近所のゴルフクラブショップに行って、売却。
「ひとこと、相談してもらったら、絶対にお勧めはしなかったのに。」と店長。

こんなドライバーを開発して、売りつけるテーラーメードもちょっと問題だよね。

I have been using the first version of Gloire driver with a Tour AD shaft.
It goes straight and far.
It seems that they have stopped production of Gloire Reserve. Now, you can get one for under 40,000 yen
vs. the official retail price of 100,000 yen.
"High quality Multi Layer Flex Face" sounded so attractive and I bought one from a internet shop.

I tried to hit with this brand new driver and I was surprised and disappointed.
It made a dull sound and my balls did not fly far.
With my current driver, i can hit about 230 yards but only 200 yards with this new one.
I decided to sell it at a nearby golf club shop.
"If you consulted with us, we would have never recommended you this driver!", said the shop master.

Dear TaylorMade, isn't it a bit of a problem if you produce such a bad driver and try to sell it to us?

グロービスでの講演、大盛況！My Lecture at Globis went very well!

グロービス経営大学院で「パーソナルブランディング」の講演をしました。講演、イギリス人教授との対談、120人の聴講者との質疑応答のすべてが英語で、大変に充実した楽しいイベントでした。


I gave a lecture on "personal branding" at Globis Business School. My lecture, dialog with a British professor and Q&A with 120 audience were all in English. It was a very fulfilling and enjoyable event.

ドーナッツで「初めまして！」 "How do you do?" with doughnuts!

大学での一回目の講義をしました。27人の学生が履修を決めて、集まってきました。
ドイツ、アメリカ、イギリス、フィンランド、オーストラリア、韓国、中国、香港などからの留学生たちが１８人、日本人が９人。まるで国連の雰囲気です。
「初めまして！」の気持ちをこめて、ドーナッツを１０種類３０個持参しました。
それを食べながらの授業は、「グローバルビジネス」。初回からリラックスしたいい雰囲気の中での授業でした。
来週は、全員の自己紹介の後、「グローバルシティズンとワークライフバランス」の講義。
毎週の楽しみです。

I gave the first lecture at the university. 27 students decided to take my class.
18 foreign students came from Germany, U.S.A,, Britain, Finland, Australia, Korea, China, Hong Kong etc.
9 students are Japanese. It is like the U.N.

I bought 30 doughnuts for them to say "How do you do?"
We ate them together and i talked about "Global Business" in a very relaxed mood.
Next week, I am asking each one of them to do a self introduction. Then, I will talk about "Global Citizenship" and
"Work Life Balance".
It is my weekly enjoyment.
