今年のＧＷ最終日にＮＨＫでやっていたドラマ『見知らぬわが町』。
故障したパソコンも修理に出していて、静かだった今年のGW。家篭りして文章を書いていて、気分転換にＴＶを付けてみると、
浮ついた馬鹿馬鹿しいものばかりで途端に辟易する。だが、思いがけずこの番組の告知CMが僕の心を捉えた。
自分でなにかを追い求めること、調べること、文字を書くこと、写真を撮ること。それは非常に根気の要ることであり、時として出口の見えない迷路を突き進むかのように不安へと陥ることである。しかし、それらを通じてでしか見えてこないものがある。周囲の雑音を尻目に、ただひたすらみずからの心を捉えたものを追求する愚直さとその孤独に、非常なる美とシンパシーを覚えた。物を書く人間の端くれとして、その当り前の事実に改めて気付かされ、勇気付けられた。１９９５年刊の原作は、かなりビックリだが当時１６歳の高校生が書いたそう。非力な１６歳の女の子が、時代の地層に埋もれ誰にも省みられることのなくなった歴史の謎に等身大の生身で肉薄する。次第に浮かび上がってくる、”見知らぬわが町”の姿。そして、見知らぬ日本の姿。（その粗筋に、テオ・アンゲロﾌﾟス監督『シテール島への船出』を思い起こす。） 原作はすでに絶版で、著者もこの後に本を書かれていないが、間違いなくもっと評価されてしかるべき作品である。（中川雅子著 葦書房刊）

(considerable astonishment!)The girl of the junior high student comes close to a mystery of the lost history of what I be buried among the strata of the times, and is minded to anyone by the life-sized living body.(in the outline, I recalled the director Theo Angelopoulos "TAXIDI STA KITHIRA".)The original is already out of print, and the author does not write a book in this next, but is the work which should be evaluated more.(Masako Nakagawa ”My Strange Hometown”) |

育児中だし、わが家に食費を入れたつもりだったのだろうか。

『ギニーピッグ２・血肉の華』（１９８５年・日本）。
監督の日野日出志曰く、当初これを海外へと輸出する計画は皆無であったという。それが何の因果か、世界中のファンに非常な驚きをもって迎え入れられ、今や欧米におけるカルト映画（殊にアジアン・カルト）のアイコンともいえる存在へと化した。本シリーズのDVDを米国において発掘・発売したUnearthedFilms社のＢｉｒｏ代表は僕にこう言う。「彼は今まで誰も見たことのない、しかし誰もが見たかったものを作ったんだ」。しかしながら、本国日本においては正式なDVDリリースは未だ為されてはおらず、”宮崎勤”を忌諱する人々によって為された封印が解かれる兆しもない。今後、正式なソフト化の可能性も限りなくゼロに近い。僕自身を含め、リアルタイムで「ギニーピッグ」を驚きと共感とをもって受け入れた世代は確かにいた。しかし、その世代はまるで、学校の教室において意図的に教師から回答の順番をすっ飛ばされた鬼っ子のようにその進退を絶たれ、その名を口にすることさえ憚られた。だがインターネットの普及は、天涯孤独のただの点としてしか存在していなかった「ギニーピッグ・チルドレン」の、点と点とを結びつける時代の到来を意味した。「ギニピ」を見たとき感じたあの驚きと共感とが、僕自身の偏狭な嗜癖、あるいは閉ざされたカルトという分野のみに完結せず、今や世界中に蔓延する乾涸びたヒューマニズムを飛び超え、世界で共有しうるものであることを予感させている。 (To guineapig children )
