16歳からアコースティックギターを始め毎日最低15時間練習。
17歳からプロ活動開始。
各音楽雑誌から
『文句無しに世界レベル』『末恐ろしい17歳がデビューしたものだ』と評される。
三線・三味線・シタール・アフリカンパーカッション・スティールパンなどの民族楽器の音をアコースティックギターで表現する特殊奏法を操る事から【アコースティック・トリック・ギタリスト】 の異名を取る。
国民健康保険などのCM音楽や「ソニックと暗黒の騎士（Wii ソニック・ザ・ヘッジホッグシリーズ）」のゲーム音楽などに参加。
ライジングサン（2002、2004年）・フジロック（2003、2004年）や「Frankfurt Musik Messe2012 (フランクフルト国際楽器ショー)」「Music China 2009~2011(上海国際楽器ショー)」「Music Korea 2010(インチョン国際楽器ショー)」「上海万博」「Shanghai International Finger-Style Guitar Festival 2011（上海国際フィンガースタイルギターフェスティバル）」「Palm Expo 2012 China(北京国際楽器ショー)」など国内外のフェスに出演。
2008年に行ったクラシックホールkitara小ホールでの
ソロコンサートは満員を記録。
TV音楽番組のバックギタリストとして《谷村新司・渡辺美里・夏川りみ・秋川雅史･松浦亜弥・平原綾香・千住明・alan・ジェロ・手嶌葵・より子》など多数の有名ミュージシャンと共演。
渡辺美里からは《歌い手が歌いたくなる気持ちをかきたててくれる素晴らしいギター。このままレコーディングスタジオに連れて帰ってもいいですか？》と本人直々にオファーを受け、
渡辺美里セルフカバーベストアルバム「Dear My Songs」にて
「Believe」のアレンジャー&ギタリストを務める。
谷村新司からは《（24時間テレビで）バックがヒカル君のギターじゃなければいい日旅立ちは歌わない》と、2008年の日本テレビ系２４時間テレビ武道館会場にて谷村新司が歌う「いい日旅立ち」をギター１本にアレンジしてバックギタリストを務める。
より子4th Album「記憶」にて「メロスのように」でギター参加。
国内とドイツ・スペイン・中国・台湾・韓国・フィリピン・フランス. アメリカなど海外でも活動中。(以上敬称略)

【Musician's background】
Hikaru was born on June 18th, 1984, in Hokkaido,Japan.
He started his professional career at age 17,
which was only a year after started playing the acoustic guitar at age 16.
In those days, he used to practice at least 15 hours every day.
By using only one acoustic guitar without multiplex recordings, he can express various sounds such as Percussion, Slap bass, tapping, DJ scratch, Techno beat, some ethnic musical instruments(Indian, African, Spanish, Japanese, Caribbean ), etc...
It was really difficult for people to believe that he could do it so.
His playing style is very unique that overthrows the traditional guitar concepts.
He was favorably reviewed by some music magazines as "the world level without objection", and quoted, "What a surprise! He got a bright future ahead of him."
He provided his music to such projects as Nissan automobile ads,
National Health Insurance of Japan ads, and "Sonic and the Black Knight(Sonic the Hedgehog)" of Sega video game music.
In 2010, he was ranked top 20 as most popular Japanese guitarist in Swing Journal, a popular magazine for jazz music.
He’s one of few Asian musicians that had given an opportunity to be invited for "Frankfurt Musik messe2010 (in Frankfrut,Germany)", actually one of the largest international musical instruments festival in the world.
He was also invited for "Music China (2009~2011) in Shanghai", "Music Korea 2010" in incheon, "Palm Expo 2012 China in Beijing", another big international musical instruments festivals in the world.
In 2011, he participated as one of the fifteen professional finger-style guitarists from all over the world for "International finger-style guitar festival (in Shanghai, China)".
In addition, he had been to Spain, France, USA, Taiwan and Philippines to share and impart his music and live performances.
In Japan, he already guests as a backup guitarist to famous singers and musicians and even made solo performances on TV and radio stations.
Moreover, he appeared on magazine write ups and newspaper articles. He was also active in performing at festivals (such as Fuji Rock, Rising Sun,etc...), events, parties, schools, hospitals, cafes, restaurants. Now, he engaged himself in teaching guitar lessons and techniques to hopefuls, and still persists to compose and produce extraordinary music.
