マルレラモーフ：ミメタスタ＋共生体
マルレラはカナダの有名なカンブリア紀の化石産地であるバージェス頁岩で大量に産出する事で有名ですが、カンブリア紀に続くオルドビス紀やデボン紀の世界中のいくつかの産地から近縁種が発見されています。
ブンデンバッハでも、２種類のマルレラ近縁種が知られています。Mimetaster hexagonalis, Vachonisia rogeriです。前者は沢山採集されていますが、後者は発掘例がとても少なく、コアなコレクターを除き実際手にするのは不可能に近いです。
この標本は、Mimetasterの背中から見た標本２体ですが、両標本とも海綿を背負っています。
文献によると、海綿は食事にありつきやすく、ミメタスタは外的からのカムフラージュに役立っており、win-winの関係であったと推測されるとの事です。
デボン紀、ドイツ、ブンデンバッハの化石です。


Marellamorph: Mimetaster+commensalspongge
Marella is a well-known arthropod specie that quote a few specimens has been produced from the world famous Cambrian largerstatten Burgess shale, and its' cousins are known to be collected from other several Ordovician or Devonian site world wide.
In Bundenbach two Marellamorph species are known, Mimetaster hexagonalis and Vachonisia rogeri. Marella has been collected quite many while Vachonisia much less. Vachonisia is so hard to come by that most of the collector including scientists cannot be obtained so easily.
This specimen shows two Mimetaster specimens in both dorsal side, and these two bugs give sponges piggybacks.
According to a book, this relationship between the two animal species are commensal, easier to feed for sponges while good to camouflage for Mimetasters.
