I spend my life in paradise
Being served by an angel
I give massage to my wife everyday
When I give massage to her
It is just as the same as receiving massage.
I spend everyday
Receiving massage from an angel
But I also sometimes sacrifice myself
By making my wife massage me
I let her pile up Tambun (spiritual merit).
It is destined that she becomes happy.
I am a Bodhisattva, too.
We live in a pure land of Buddha
Where Bodhisattvas live.

I reprint a part of theprevious posting for the benefit of the reference of the readers.【Tantawy allowed female Imams】
The original article appeard in BBC online NEWS as follows;
>"When she leads men in prayer...it's not proper for them to look at the woman whose body is in front of them," Sayed Tantawi wrote in a column for the Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram.
If we read this article without preconceptions,it is quite clear that Sayyid Tantawi wrote this on the supposition that a woman can lead men in prayer. He just suggested that “it is not proper for men to look at the woman whose body is in front of them” (probably with lust).
He did not say that it is not proper for men to see the woman in front of them. He did not say that woman should not be in front of men, either.
It seems obvious to me that the intention of his writing is not to keep women from leading men in prayer, but to keep men from their unreligious acts.
【Influenced by another distorted interpretation】
The comment of Wikipedia I think was didtorted by swallowing the additional comment in the article of BBC News which goes;
>“the sheik of Cairo's Al-Azhar mosque, one of the world's top Islamic institutions, said Islam did not allow for women to preach to men”
I presume this acrobatic distortion was brought about by swallowing a saying of an Islamic scholar who quoted only a part of the Sayed Tantawi’s wiriting to support his own view that female Imams are banned in Islam(I looked for the news site I read before which featured the article, but I could not find it).
【Commentaries of some other sensible persons】
The followings are the quotations of some other sensible men which I found on Internet;
>Within the Muslim communities in recent years the debate has been reactivated, arguing that the spirit of the Qur'an and the letter of a disputed hadith indicate that women should be able to lead mixed congregations as well as single-sex ones, and that the prohibition of this developed as a result of sexism in the medieval environment and patriarchal interpretations of religous texts, not part of or reflective of true Islam.
>It appears that for Sheikh Tantawi the issue is more of men being able to look at a woman's body than woman being religiously or spiritually incompetent to be a prayer leader.
【The distortions were made by Idols】
The distortion of the writing of Sayed Tantawy I think is due to “Idol” which, the famous western philosopher Francis Bacon said, is the hindrance to the understanding of truth.
Francis Bacon asserted that;
>the inquirer is to free his or her mind from certain false notions or tendencies which distort the truth.
( from Wikipedia “Francis Bacon” hilighted in bold letters by me)
It seems that the distortion of the saying of Muhammad Sayed Tantawy happened by the "Idols of the Marketplace" and “Idols of the Theatre"
【Francis Bacon was a messenger of Islam】
It seems to me that Francis Bacon was a messenger of Islam for he warned the danger of Idol worship and help people follow the only truth there is (“The only one”, “The truth” are two of the beautiful names of Allah revealed in holy Qur’an). Don’t you think so?

Malaysian court rules Catholicpaper can use "Allah"

Mon, Nov 23 2009
KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) - A Malaysian court ruled on Thursday that a Catholic newspaper can use "Allah" to describe God in a surprise judgment that could allay worries about the erosion of minority rights in the majority Muslim country.
The High Court said it was the constitutional right for the Catholic newspaper, the Herald, to use the word "Allah."
"Even though Islam is the federal religion, it does not empower the respondents to prohibit the use of the word," said High Court judge Lau Bee Lan.
Last January, Malaysia banned the use of the word"Allah" by Christians, saying the use of the Arabic word might offend the sensitivities of Muslims who make up 60 per cent of Malaysia's 28 million population.
Analysts say cases such as that involving the Herald worry Malaysian Muslim activists and officials who see using the word Allah in Christian publications including bibles as attempts to proselytize.
The Herald circulates in Sabah and Sarawak on BorneoIsland where most tribal people converted to Christianity more than a century ago.
In February, the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Kuala Lumpur Murphy Pakiam, as publisher of the Herald, filed for a judicial review,naming the Home Ministry and the government as respondents.
He had sought to declare that the decision by the respondents prohibiting him from using the word "Allah" in the Herald was illegal and that the word "Allah" was not exclusive to Islam.
The Home Minister's decision to ban the use of the word was illegal, null and void, said Lau.
Lawyers representing the government said they would refer to the Home Ministry on whether to appeal.
"It is a day of justice and we can say right nowt hat we are citizens of one nation," said Father Lawrence Andrew, the Herald's editor.

【Comment】
“Allah ”in Arabic is not a proper noun, it is a combination of Al(a definite article) and ilaha (god). It is a common noun meaning “God”.
For Malaysian people especially Muslims, it is well known that Allah means God.
If there should be any problems, it is using “Allah” to non-Muslims for they might misunderstand Allah as a proper noun.
There should be no problems using “Allah” to catholic people for they are the followers of Jesus, whom Holy Qur’an guaranteed is a messenger of God.
Allah is the Lord of whole humanity, He is not only for the muslims in its narrower definition. He is for the muslims in its true meanig(the followers of God).The holy Qur’an declares as follows;
Declear;
Allah is the One.
Allah is the Everlasting.
He is never born,
nor gives birth to none.
He is the One
without second.
(An interpretation of the chapter “the only One” in English)
There is no God other than Allah. If we think God is different from Allah. It goes against the most fundamental faith of Islam ;“There is no god but God”.The judgement of Malaysian High court is not only for the Malaysian constitution which guarantees the freedom of faith, but also follows the way of Islam(The way of surrender to one God) which guarantees the freedom of faith.

Suicide bombings
>Tantawy took a line against suicide bombings, and unlike his compatriot Yusuf al-Qaradawi, he condemned the use of suicide bombings against Israelis, rejecting the argument that all Israelis were legitimate targets, because at some stage they would all carry a gun.[12] In 2003 he called suicide bombers"enemies of Islam", adding "people of different beliefs should co-operate and not get into senseless conflicts and animosity. Extremism is the enemy of Islam, whereas, jihad is allowed in Islam to defend one's land and to help the oppressed. The difference between jihad in Islam and extremism is like the earth and the sky"[13]
【The true meaning of JIHAD】
”The greatest enemies of God are those who are enterd into Islam, and do acts infidelity, and who, without cause, shed the blood of man” (from “The Sayings of Muhammad” compiled by Sir Abdullah Suhrawardy, with a foreword by Mahatma Gandhi)
〝To whoever harms the believers of other religions, I will stand as his enemy in the day of the final judgement” ( from the sayings of Propeht Muhammad)
The word JIHAD in Arabic means“the effort”. The effort to make peace is the greatest JIHAD for Muslims.
Reaction to 9/11 attacks
>Speaking after the September 11, 2001 attacks,Tantawy said "It's not courage in any way to kill an innocent person, or to kill thousands of people, including men and women and children."[18] He said that Osama bin Laden's call for a Jihad against the west was "invalid and not binding on Muslims", adding"Killing innocent civilians is a horrific, hideous act that no religion can approve". He said the Qur'an "specifically forbids the kinds of things the Taliban and al-Qaida are guilty of".[19]
FATWA is sometimes translated as“a religious order”, but it is not. The meaning of fatwa is “a suggestion” or “a recommendation”. In Islam,it is considerd that the faith should not be imposed in any way to men. The freedom of faith is guaranteed within the framework of Islam as well as in different religious faiths.
【The spirit of the Master lives on】
We sufis believe that when the great masters leave their bodies their spirit becomes one with God,calling it “the true marriage with God”.There is only one Master in this universe anyway.
The spirit of Sayed Tantawi lives on forever with us.
