Soccer career
I joined the soccer club named “Katsutadai Black Leopards” when I was 7.
I played any positions at that time. But I played goalie or sweeper in important games.
I played as goalie after entering the junior high school.
The reason why I became a goalie is that “I don’t want to run!”
I wanted to be an outfield player after entering the high school.
But, my team mate in junior high school told the head coach “He is a goalie!” So I couldn’t be an outfield player.
I entered Chiba University in 1989.
I took the trial of Nissan FC Farm (Regional League) in 1991 and passed it.
In 1992, I made a contract with Urawa Reds as a trainee.
I made a contract with Urawa Reds as a professional soccer player in 1994.
I played for 4 years with Urawa Reds but I was 2nd or 3rd choice goalkeeper.
Sometime I had to play right back in training session.
In 1996, I transferred to Brummel Sendai(Vegalta Sendai).
I played with Litti, ex German national team player.
I played over 20 games but I was not stable.
I made some big mistakes in important games.
I had to sit on the bench most of the time in 1997, 98 and 99.
Finally the chance has come in 2000.
I played as a starter in 36 games.
In 2001, I played all the league games (44) and the team finished as 2nd place.
We go to J1!
In 2002, I played 18 games and the team could stay in J1.
But I had to go out from the team.
2003, I moved to Sagan Tosu(J2). But it was very tough season for me and the club.
In this year the team was on the bottom of the league table.
So I had to go out again.
2004, I took 2 trials of soccer teams in US, but failed.
After that, I went to Chile to take other trials.
I took 3 trials and made the contract with 3rd club, Union San Felipe.
I couldn’t play as starter because of my Spanish is not enough.
I went back to Japan after the league was over.
Staying in Chile was just 6 months,
February of 2005, Tokushima Vortis called me and made the contract with me.
I played 2 years in Tokushima and I transferred to Albirex Singapore 2007.
