My Weird School 5 Miss Small Is off the Wall ! を読みました。どこか、無理のある内容でした。
さて、今回は、 Fizz Ed の先生とのお話。
話の出だしはこうです。
My name is A.J. and I hate school.
Well, I hate that reading and writing and arthmetic part of school, anyｗay.
That stuff is for the birds !
There's only one thing about school that I like. Fizz Ed.
gym に向かう途中、おしゃべりの生徒をしかる先生と、反応する子供
“A.J.!” Miss Daisy said with her mean face. “Hold your tongue ! ”
“Okay.” So I stuck out my tongue and held onto it. Everybody laughed.
Well, everybody but Emily and Miss Daisy.
その先生は、MIｓｓ smsll ですが、背のtallな先生です。子供たちの印象は？？？
Miss Small is off the wall !
A.J. にとって、面白くない内容の Fizz Ed.
Red Light Green Light, Red River, Spud, Mother may I, Duck Duck Goose
(子供たちの 遊びの 名前なのでしょうね？？）
話は進み、結末は、子供達より、先生たちが、楽しんでます。
“This is the only time we have all day to relax,” said Ms. Hannna.
“Yeah !” said all the other grown-ups. “Lighten up.”
Grown-ups are weird.
スラングが多くて、少し読みにくく、内容もそこそこですからね。

交通事故にあい、母を亡くし、離れて暮らしていた父と暮らし始めたAmy.
初めて部屋に入った時、その部屋は、散らかっていました
He turned and we went up to my room. ‘I didn't have time to make your room nice before I came
to get you,’he said. ‘Everything happened very quickly....’ 父の言い訳。
孤独に暮らす、Amyd ですが、goose の卵を見つけ 家のガレージで、育てます。孵化します。
The eggs jumped and moved. It took a long time,a very long time but they did it - they opened !
My eggs were little geese. ‘You are beautiful,’ I said ,‘All of you.’
Amy と geese の暮らしがはじまります。でも、南への異動の季節が来ます。
母親のいないgeeseの母となり、飛べない Igor と aeroplane に乗り南に向かう Amy
David went to Glen's house and opened the door in the garden. it took a lomg time.
I thought something was wrong. I turｎed the plane and flew back over the house again.
I saw the geese down there , and suddenly ｔhey saw me and started to fly !
They climbed into the sky after me. First one goose,then a second and a third. Fifteen geese.
無事目的地に到着。次の春、Amy の暮らす地に彼らは、戻ってきます。
The next spring , I heard a sound. It came in the night.
I was asleep,but I thought I heard something. It was a small sound at first ,something on the water.
And then I knew Geese! I opened the window. Yes! Yes!
・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・
They wewr back. My geese were back.

「MARVIN REDPOST2 Wｈｙ Pick on Me?」を読みました。
小学校でのいじめをテーマにしています。鼻くそのほじくり、鼻くそがついてると、みんなから、きたながられ、避けられるようになります。
タイムカプセルに入れる資料を作ります
Marvin was supposed to ask everyone a question and write down the answes.
Then he would have to do a repoet on it.
The results would be buried in a time capsule. It would be dug up in fifty years.
wall-ballでのラインアウトかセーフかの判定で、友達と喧嘩。
ボールには、Marvinの鼻くそがついてるというと、他の友達も彼を避けるようになります。
Clarence grabbed the ball from him “Oh,gross!”he exclaimed.
“His boogers are on the ball !”
class survey つまり、タイムカプセルに入れる資料を利用します。
“I have to ask you my question for the class survey,”said Marvin. “Okay,”said Judy.
“You have to telｌ the truth,”said Mravin. “I will,”said Judy. “Okay,”said Marvin.
“Well,here goes.” he took a breath. “Have you ever picked your nose?”
クラスでの、調査結果発表です。いじめの張本人、Clarence はいかに？？？
“In summary,”he said, “everybody has picked their nose,except Clarence.”
Casey shouted, “Oh,Clarence. You're such a liar!”
誰でも、鼻くそをほじくったことは、あるという事ですよね。

「Catwings Return」を読みました。Catwingsの続編。
母親に促され、安住に地を求め旅に出た４匹（Thelma・Roger・Harriet・James)の旅猫。たどり着いた地では、優しい兄弟(Hank・Susan)との出会いがあります。
Hank liked to toss kibbles in the air and watch Roger catch them,・・・・・・.
母親を恋しく思うとび猫たち
Thelma said,“I wonder how our mother is! I think about her every day.”
2匹のとび猫は、故郷へ、母のもとへ
So James and Harriet made up their minds to go visit their mother,Mrs Jane Tabby,in the city.
Thelma and Roger chose to stay home with their friends Susan and Hank.
故郷へ向かう途中での２匹の不安
“Maybe my Instinct is out of practice. What dose your Instinct tell you?”
戻った故郷には、母は見当たらず、町は、再開発中
An old building at the far end of the alley was being bashed and battered by a huge metal ball
swinging from a crane,till the walls opened and the floor collapsed and the whole house fell apart
into fragments and dust.
母を探すうち、町に取り残された子コネを見つけます（実は、妹）
It was very small,very thin, with raggedlooking fur, black from nose to tailtip, all black, even its
small, dusty, folded wings.
子猫を助け出し、いとしい母との出会い
And the kitten, flying bravely between them, squearked, “Meeee!”
Then a voice replied from above, a soft, clear, well-remembered voice. “Children?”
妹を背中に乗せて、とび猫たちは、兄弟の待つ、安住の地へ戻ります。新たなる生活が始まります

今回は、美術の先生のお話。ごみ収集家です。
美術教室は、ごみ教室。子供たちとの珍騒動。
大阪の子供たちのような性格の主人公たち。
どの本にも書いてあるフレーズ。
Some of the kids laughed,even though I don't say anything funny.
ニタニタ笑いながら、読めますよ。このシリーズは、おすすめです。
