Eric: I don't think so. He used to be great. Now he's over the hill.
エリック： 新しい支店に配属する人たちを選定する必要があるよ。
ミホ： ヘンリーを私たち営業チームを引っ張ってもらうために入れるべきだわ。素晴らしい営業マンよ。
エリック： 僕はそうは思わないな。確かに以前は素晴らしい営業マンだったと言えるけど。今はもう彼の最盛期は過ぎてるさ。

誰かが"over the hill"だということは、年を取りすぎたために、物事が今までのように効率よくできなくなった、という状態を言います。
働いているという状況では、ある人のキャリアが最盛期と比べてだんだん劣ってきた、ということ、つまり、バリバリ働けていた頃と比べると、年を取ったのでパフォーマンスが十分ではない、ということになります。
人生の中でもっとも輝き、肉体的にも精神的にも「ピーク」だったときが丘（hill）の頂上だったとすれば、今は丘を越えて下るところにいる、ということです。カジュアルにも、ビジネスシーンでも使えますが、ある人に向かって"over the hill"と言う時は、かなり攻撃的に聞こえますので注意しましょう。
