数多くの皆様のご協力のおかげで、第10回健診活動にこぎつけましたので、
まずはご協力いただいた皆様へ感謝申し上げます。

活動場所：ビエンチャン市近郊村落地域

3月26日〜3月31日にかけて第9回健診活動を行いました。 今回は何度も日程変更があって振り回されましたが、 結果的には課題をクリアすることができました。 The 9th health checkup wascompleted during 26th March to 31st March. We could have completed finally even thoughthere were many changes of the schedule. 羽田出発 Leaving from Haneda Airport

170311 児童養護：手紙 Foster home: the Letter 担当していた児童がとうとう高校合格を果たした。 日本の諺で「男子三日見ざれば、括目して待つべし」という通りだったと思う。 最初は落ち着きも集中力もなく、不登校の状態が続いていた子が、 自ら決心して復学を果たし、高校にも合格した。 成長した児童よりも、自分の方が多くの事を学ばせてもらった思いだ。 その児童が最後に手紙をしたためて渡してくれた。 お礼を言うのは私の方なのにと思いながら受け取った。 封筒の中には「うるう秒の瞬間」を撮影した写真も同封されていた。 多分児童の気持ちの中で大きな思い出になったものを入れてくれたのだろう。 これで自分の一つの責務が終わり、次の挑戦が始まる時だなと感じた。 Foster home
The boy has passed the examination forentering high school. As the saying in Japan “Observe the boy ifyou don’t see three days”, He has grew up so much, as he had gone backto the school and passed the examination, even though he was restless and didn’thave concentration at first time I met him. I feel like I had learned more than he hadlearned from me. The boy made a letter to express his appreciationto me, though I felt I was the one who has to appreciate to him. There was a picture of “Leap second”.
Maybe it was the most important memory tohim and decided to give me a copy. One of my challenge had completed and nowit is the time to get new challenge. To be continued.

高校受験に向けてどのように学習を進めていくか、 今回は施設職員等と児童を交えて打ち合わせを行いました。 自分が受験した過去には、先生の説明は時間ばかりかかって効率が悪くて、 邪魔くさいとしか思っていなかった。 当時の先生ごめんなさい。m(__)m 今回の児童は指導を続けてほしいとの希望があるようなので、 最終的に隔週低度の回数で訪問して継続することにした。 続く Staff of foster home, the boy and I haddiscussed how to proceed studying before the examination for entering highschool. I remembered I didn’t like to study withteachers because I had been feeling it was better effectiveness to study alone. (Sorry for the teachers at that time)
The boy asked me to continue teaching and Iagreed but I decided to do it every two weeks. To be continued.

来年早々には高校受験が控えている児童の成績は、
いまだに目に見えるほどの改善はない。
それでも1年以上ひきこもりになっていた児童が復学し、
今年4月からずっと継続しているだけでも、
児童本人の緊張感や疲労感は尋常でない状態であろうことから、
学力向上だけを求めてプレッシャーを与え続けるわけにもいかない。
本人は学校でも先生の話を真面目によく聞いているようだし、
その上で毎週土曜日には私とも一緒に勉強していることで、
結果として自分で勉強できる時間も限られていると思われる。
今後は毎週行ってきた学習支援活動の回数を減らして、
児童本人が予習、復習、受験対策等ができる時間を確保することにした。
回数を減らすことで緊張感や疲労感も軽減した上で、
自分で学習できる時間を確保し、自分はその進捗状況を確認するだけにしたいと思う。
児童本人がどうというよりも自分の指導力や能力等についての限界を感じる。

There is no visualized improvement yet regarding with the score of examination by the boy whom I am in charge even though he has to get examination for entering high school early next year.
However, it is not the suitable time to give more pressure to him because he have been to school since this April after long time vacation as one of Hikikomori that is the status to stay in the room through the year.
Actually, he have been listening the explanation by the teacher in the school as well as mine every Saturday withhis diligent manner.
Then I think the time for him to continue studying might be very limited.
Because of this situation, I am planning to reduce the frequency to visit him.
Objective of this plan is to secure the time for the boy to have enough time of studying by himself.
Also, I think this plan could reduce his tension and tired feeling.
Maybe I have to visit once in a month to monitor the progress of his studying.
I am feeling the limitation of the capability for teaching.
