一時帰国の思い出〜

友達と食事に行ったり、これからの夢や計画を語ったりと

とても充実した楽しい日々を過ごす事ができました。

大きくなった甥や姪たちは、それぞれに忙しそうで

あまり話をする時間がなく残念でしたが

それも、成長した証拠なんですね。

Last several weeks, I have been having very good times with my friends and family. 

I did not have time to take long trips, buy I was able to visit Kyoto and Osaka.

Mostly I spent time in my hometown of Kobe.

My friends and I visited over lunch and dinners. 

And we talked about our current lives and future plans. 

Exchanging ideas broadened our vision of possible future paths. 

I am fortunate to have friends who I can openly discuss different topics with.

My nieces and nephew are very busy with work and going to college. 

So, I did not get much chance to visit with them.

But I understand that they are enjoying their lives and I am happy for them. 

         

Women's March in San Francisco

The weather was not cooperating. 

But, many many many people gathered together in San Francisco. 

I was debating if I should go there or not, 

because I am not a US Citizen.

However, I thought I should witness the event 

and see one of the historical movements in this world. 

Most of the people I know around here were shocked 

and disappointed at the direction that the US is heading to now. 

The values they had were denied. 
Their proud country seems to step backwards. 

As I talked with them, 

I felt their deep love of this country. 

At the same time, I understand that many people 

who supported the new president also love their country. 

World peace, civil rights, environmental protection, etc. 
There are many issues in the world.

We are all affected by other countries. 

I think we need to see the future in a long run,

and make decisions for our future generations 

as well as solving today's acute problems.

Double Rainbow

Believe of not, I saw double rainbows twice this month. 

People say that this is an indication of wonderful things are happening. 

I know seeing something beautiful like this cheers me up 

and brings me positive and powerful energy.
